Good news, my rite aid told me tonight that they will be starting another round of spend $100, get 20 up+ reward. If you search for deals that give back up rewards, debates, ect over the weeks of the program, you can score a lot of stuff for very little out of pocket! To give you an idea of how much savings, I spent 40.00 out of pocket tonight, but saved over $120.00, plus walked out of there with $44.00 in up+ rewards! We are so blessed...got a lot of paper items like toliet paper, paper towels, paper plates, vitamins, and lots of clearances food for our family!

My hubby's first coupon trip!

So mu hubby decided to give couponing a try since I am working some crazy hours and we were out of some stuff...and he did great! He had over 50% savings and saved more than $50.00! But as I have mentioned many times before...check, check, check those receipts. He found an $18.00 mistake on his receipt and he has to check the price of something else cause I think they overcharged him on the lightbulbs too....$18.00!!!! So worth checking your receipt for! I am so proud of him...he didn't enjoy it, but he will keep doing it to save us money!

Does a dollar make a difference?

Wow!  I, Brandi, have to share my trip to Kroger today....

I always get my meat there when they mark it down, but I was sure going to hit the seafood sale with the family beach trip only 5 months away.  :)  Good intentions, see.  LOL....anywhooo, I started calculating the price per pound fresh vs. frozen.  (yes, with my 2-yr-old + no nap = VERY FUN!)  Well, it was frozen by a whole dollar this week.  I grabbed a bag of salmon and a bag of tilapia at $8.99 each.  Yes, no coupons, but I have a nice meat budget since I don't spend much on anything else anymore.  :)

I stroll up to the self-checkout (which is the only one I trust at Kroger) and start scanning.  "beep" $9.99 for my salmon and "beep" $9.99 for my tilapia!!  What?  Well, when you know the store's policies, you have AMMO.  I politely asked my favorite self-checker leader to have someone price-check the sign (they always have someone verify) and that they didn't ring up at the sign price of $8.99.  Sure enough, they rang up the wrong price!!!  I am still ecstatic that because they did, I got both bags FREE!!!  Praise God for the blessings He gives us!!  I think He really wants me to get healthy also!  :)    God bless!

Publix KC rebate

Ok, so if you're like me, you've been waiting for a good Publix rebate....well, inside the "Start Your Year Out With Big Savings" booklet (it's blue and you'll have to ask CS for 6 of them), there's a great one! (You must buy all in one transaction for rebate.)

Buy 6 12pk Cottonelle : $38.94

Use 6 $1/1 Publix q's from this same booklet
Use 6 $0.50/1 Man. q's found HERE (you need 3 computers or hubby to print at work for you)  :)

Total due:  $26.94 = submit for $10 Gift Card and you have a great stockpile of TP for just 24 CENTS A ROLL!!

CVS pepsi deal still going on + clearance finds

Hey guys and gals,
Just wanted to give you a heads up about some great clearance finds that I saw at CVS today. They have a lot of different shampoo brands 50-90% off...some of the brands were tresemme, organixs (sp?), aveeno...just to name a few. They also still have the make-up (tons of it) marked 75% off, and I hear there are peelies on a lot of it (not at my store, but maybe you get lucky!) or maybe you already have a ton of make-up coupons...which makes for sweet deals or even free or with overage! Yipee! I used all of my $5.00 off of 2 loreal coupons last week and bought a ton of mineral foundation that was 75% off...I usually pay 14-15.00 for one and walked away with barely $1.00 or free on most of it!!!

They also are continuing the Pepsi deal and other blogs are saying that you can do the deal again this week and many are reporting you can do it twice each week...now, $1.44 for a 12 pack of diet mt dew is AWESOME...and don't forget you might get a $5.00 off coupon from the magic machine if you have spent $50.00 on beauty aids and have signed up for their new free beauty program.

The magic machine gave me $2.00 off of huggies, $1.00 off of kudo's, and $1.00 off of 4 mars candy bars (um, trying not to fuel my chocolate addiction anymore...but I may give in!)

And not sure if the machine had a gliche or what, but usually you can only scan your card 1-3 times a visit...this time it let me scan 4 times...gave me duplicate coupons, but hey...worth a try!

Special K deal at Rite Aid this week

I, Brandi, have to share my deal, and hopefully you guys can get in on it this week too!

I printed 4 BOGO Special K q's from their website. It is on sale BOGO at $4.79. The q's max value is $4.49, however if you have a Wellness Plus discount (mine is 20%), then they will ring up less. The BEST part about this deal.....not only did I only pay tax ($2.78) for the 8 boxes I scored, but it printed $1 +UP for each box!!! I essentially made $5 and got 8 boxes of Fruit n' Yogurt Special K, which is my FAV!!

Magic machine at CVS

Do you know about the magic machine at CVS? Its the red machine located inside as you come inside the store...you can scan your extracare card as many as three times a day and get coupons. My last two coupons were awesome...5.00 extra bucks for joint their new beauty program and 50 cents off a dove bar which made it a moneymaker cause they are already FREE this week! They also have christmas stuff 90% off and my store had tons.of m&m's left that rang up 39 cents for.a big bag!

Free Blockbuster Kiosk movie rental!

Use code: ESU11B at any kiosk through 1/18

Tennesseans not 99 cents anymore at Wags...:(

Went to Wags yesterday, and they informed me that all papers ring up at full price on Sundays now, AND no 99 cent papers on Mondays either! Bummer! Let us know if you know of a place to buy discounted papers. God bless!

Looking for "overage"

If you need some overage to help pay for your milk, bread, etc. at Publix, then grab the Green Advantage Flyer at the door. Inside, there is a store q for $6/2 Sundown Natural Vitamins. Pair that with 2- $2/1 Sundown manufacturer q's that came in the 1/2 Tennessean Kroger Flyer! Presto!! You have up to a $4 MM!

Where have you been?

So you may have wondered where have all the posts gone...where is Jen? Well, where can I start? Um, for one we all five have been sick, sick, and some more sick. Stomach flu, colds, pnuemonia, ear infections and all of that just in the last 4 weeks with some of us still sick. Then to top it all off, our family has really taken a personal beating in so many life issues. We are struggling thru them and growing as a family. You haven't read any posts from me because 1. I started back to work in October and it has been a whirlwind ride of contract jobs, interviews, more interviews, and currently working 12-14 hour days at least 6 days a week on a payroll conversion. My poor hubby has taken on every other responsibility of a working family because I come home and fall in the bed. I am so blessed with a great hardworking husband who never complains about the hours I am putting in or the challenges of raising here kids by himself, sick ones at that! So, I apologize for my lack of posts...I have managed to snag a deal here or there, but very few since I started back to work. I hope things slow down for me soon so I can get back to helping all of you save money in the new year! Hugs and happy new years from Jen!
