So, you know how we always say, "Couponing is something you don't have to invest a lot of money in to succeed at.".......well, I was out shopping today and happened to walk by the Goodwill store.  Outside the door was a buggy labeled "Recycle your old newspapers here".  I thought, "Well neat.  I wonder if there are any coupons in here?"  Surprised, I found whole inserts just stacked in there!  It seems that all the businesses in the shopping center use this to recycle their papers, so all the inserts are literally unopened!  Free q's are great!

Update on the Target Sense-n-spray deal

So I headed out to the Smyrna Super Target today to snag some of these free Sense-n-sprays...but when I find them on the shelf, they said on sale for "$7.99"...hmm, so I am thinking they just hadn't updated the price, so I pick one up and scan it...and no, the price is $7.99. So I went and asked a manager why their price wasn't the same as the Murfreesboro Target and she explained that each store has permission to set prices on certain items that isn't always company-store-wide. Boo...so, if you were thinking about rushing to the Smyrna Target for a free one...nope. However, they did have the brand new ones on sale for $6.49 on temporary markdown...so you could still get one for 49 cents, which still isn't bad. But make sure you pick up the new packaging (blue box, not white box)!

So, here's the Dyson deal I scored!

It's Brandi, and for those of you who have seen the FB posts, you know I have been in search of a good vacuum.  I had great feedback, and it seemed that Dyson was the best for my needs (I have stairs and a canister wouldn't be easy for me).  I researched all the stats on the air wattage/suction power, weight, amps, etc.  They are all certified by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation.  I even called Dyson to ask about warranty exclusions.  So, after a week-long process, I got my new DC14 last night!  Here's the deal I scored:
Walmart.com is no longer carrying this model, so it is marked down to $287. (it's $399.99 at Dyson.com)  They have .97 shipping on it, and I cashed in some points at my bank to get a Walmart $25 gift card.  So, $291 shipped right to my door in 3 days with full 5 year warranty!! 
I would highly recommend this brand, not only for it's performance, but also it's customer service!  They are amazing (all 3 times I have called them now).   ;)   So, if you need one or will soon, check out this Dyson deal.  It highly surpasses Target's "clearance prices" this week. God bless!

Nashville Originals

Ok, if your like us, you probably love to eat out...it's fun, it's quicker, and no clean-up, especially for nice occasions!  But eating out at nice Nashville and surrounding area restaurants is expensive!  Butch and I love this site. Someone recommended it to us over three years ago and we have gotten to eat at some places that wouldn't be in our budget...places like Sunset Grill, Tayst, and Midtown Cafe...just to name a few.
They offer quarterly (limited amounts) coupons that are usually $50 gift certificate (that doesn't expire) for $25-30 dollars...a nice savings!  There are a few restrictions, but not many. Check your Tennesseans guys!  I got 2 from Wal-mart that had Publix q inserts in them!!  One of those q's is for FREE Huggies wipes when you buy any Huggies diapers!!  This will go nice with the KC rebate!!!!  I hope you get some too!

publix trip tonight

$7.08 out of pocket, $40.00 in savings. Everything was free except the bounce bar and I got that for Brandi cause she loves them. $3.80 of my (oop) was tax! A lot of deals this week and I was blessed to be able to get out and go a lot this week. Showers of blessings!

Just another benefit to couponing....

Sooo, I (Brandi) just got back from a fabulous family vacation.  I packed EVERYTHING I thought for a second that we may need, and with a great stockpile, I didn't pay a dime to get ready to leave!  :)
However, in packing all these "necessities", I managed to forget MY MAKE-UP!!!!!  ERRGG!
And, I didn't realize it until we were well out of state....hmmmm....this was a last-minute vacation as it was, but to forget something as expensive as my make-up, well, it just wasn't in the budget to buy more.  Problem-solving in my head, it hit me: I HAVE GIFT CARDS, +UPs, and ECBs!!!!  My hubby swung me by the nearest Rite Aid, and I knew what were the great deals for the week because I never miss a RA ad.  I went in, bought my new make-up, didn't pay a cent out of our strict vacay fund, and came out with a great big smile!  Then, wouldn't you know it, the next day, my hubby decides he "needs" some things (as usual).  Well, I ran through his verbal list in my head (and CVS's inventory), and said, "Off to CVS we go!"  And $11 ECBs and several q's later, we got what we needed again without spending any "money".  My hubby was very pleased, and I was also at the simple fact that I was able to provide for our family this way (and for the first time on a vacay) while staying ON-BUDGET!  Couponing is such a blessing, and we love to share this "wealthy" information with anyone who wants to learn!  God bless everyone!!
